We treat landscape design as both an art and a process. Our designers meet with you one-on-one, learning how you use your home and how you want your outdoor space to feel. From early sketches and two-dimensional concepts to full 3D models, we help you see your project in its finished form before we build.
Once we understand your goals, we begin our streamlined 5-step Design Phase:

What began as two brothers with a shared vision has grown into one of North Carolina’s premier outdoor living teams. With deep roots in design, horticulture, and construction, Currin Outdoor brings creativity and craftsmanship together to build spaces that truly stand apart.
Everyone has a dream for what their outdoor living space could be. No matter if you have a small urban space or a large 5 acre plot, Currin Outdoor Living has developed a plan to make sure your property has the best approach to maximize your space.
Jon’s passion for outdoor living began at an early age, working alongside his family on construction sites. He developed a hands-on understanding of hardscapes, carpentry, and custom outdoor design, while learning the importance of craftsmanship and customer care. He also discovered a love for drawing and designing, paired with a natural desire to build and create outdoors. As a teenager, Jon spent time sketching ideas and exploring new concepts, which laid the foundation for what would eventually become a high-end landscape design/build company focused on creativity, precision, and lasting quality.
Guided by creativity and purpose, our vision shapes every project from the ground up. We listen closely, think boldly, and imagine spaces that reflect both our clients’ dreams and the landscape’s full potential.
Jon lives in Raleigh, NC, with his wife and 4 children. When he’s not designing, you’ll find him traveling with his family, enjoying a good glass of wine with his wife, or at a Canes’ game.
Jason began his career in the outdoor living space in college when he began studying architecture at NCSU before graduating in Landscape Horticulture. Jason joined Currin Outdoor Living in 2021 and now serves as Design Director.
The design process is collaborative and dependent on clear communication. Studio work, drawings and renders help cultivate and craft the landscape plans to surpass our clients expectations and vision.
In his role, Jason leads the design team, manages client consultations, and oversees the conceptual development of outdoor living spaces—from initial vision to ready-to-build plans.
He lives in Wendell, NC, with his wife and children. Jason enjoys playing disc golf, guitar, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Robert began his career at a Landscape Architecture firm in Alpharetta, GA where he gained hands-on experience in landscape design and project installation oversight. That early experience sparked a passion for creating outdoor environments that are both beautiful and functional.
Our experienced team brings landscape plans to life with skill and attention to detail. From hardscaping to planting, we execute each project with precision, ensuring the finished space reflects the original vision and exceeds expectations.
Over the years, Robert has applied his expertise throughout the Southeast and Midwest, honing his skills in outdoor construction and project management. In 2024, he joined Currin Outdoor Living as Build Director. In this role, he manages execution of construction projects, coordinates field crews, and ensures that every design is brought to life with precision, quality, and attention to detail.
Robert lives in Clayton, NC with his wife and children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at the beach with his family, tackling outdoor projects, fishing, and working on cars & trucks.
