This project incorporates a multi-level patio, a fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and beautiful outdoor lighting to create a cozy, yet modern backyard.
Our client wanted our help in overcoming a landscape with grading and drainage difficulties to make their dream backyard a reality. We were tasked with working within the constraints of the landscape rather than completely re-creating the site, which would have resulted in unnecessary expenses. In fact, this allowed for a terraced step feature that enhanced the modern look and feel the client was looking for. In the end, the client was extremely pleased with their new custom outdoor living space.
This project was designed to create a cozy yet modern backyard that could be enjoyed throughout the day and into the evening. The homeowners wanted a space that supported gathering and relaxation, while still feeling clean and contemporary. Key features such as a multi level patio, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and layered outdoor lighting work together to create a warm and inviting outdoor living environment.
One of the main challenges of this project was addressing existing grading and drainage conditions without completely reworking the site. By designing within the natural constraints of the landscape, we were able to avoid unnecessary costs while still achieving the client’s vision. The solution included a terraced step feature that helped manage elevation changes and enhanced the modern aesthetic of the space. The result is a functional, well balanced backyard that feels intentional and tailored to how the homeowners live outdoors.
