One of the challenges on this project was the existing wall with sloping. Our design solution accounted for this challenge, creating an outdoor living space near the home, while addressing the grading improvements and removing the existing wall. We built a new wall that was not as high, and set the pool / patio / kitchen all on one lower level. Not only did this create a destination space, but it also saved the client money by not having to engineer a larger retaining wall with additional labor and materials.
